PHFI-UK consortium
The PHFI-UK consortium, which was funded by the Wellcome Trust and co-ordinated by secretariats at LSHTM and at PHFI in Delhi, was dedicated to strengthening the research and teaching skills of PHFI faculty in India. The programme offered funding opportunities to PHFI faculty members to undertake masters and doctoral studies in the UK as well as offering funding for UK-India collaborative research projects, bilateral visits and delivery of short courses in India.
The South Asia Centre for Disability Inclusive Development & Research (SACDIR)
was established in 2010 under the aegis of the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) in collaboration with and supported by LSHTM, working through its International Centre for Eye Health. The centre aims to develop research capacity in the region, to augment the skills of existing and new professionals through need-based training modules, and to assist in programme development and evaluation and influencing policy in the South Asia region.
Capacity Strengthening Research Degree Scheme (CSRD)
The CSRD scheme enables staff at 15 long-standing partner institutions, including two in India, to register for a LSHTM PhD degree while carrying out the major part or whole of their degree research at the partner institution site.
