Sustainability Action Committee

This Sustainability Action Committee is chaired by the LSHTM Chief Operating Officer, Matt Lee, and consists of representatives from academic faculties, students and professional services. It serves as an advisory group to support LSHTM’s implementation of its Energy and Carbon Management Plan. The committee helps by promoting best practice in carbon emissions reduction, including recommending to the senior leadership team and Council actions to ensure effective carbon reduction-focused policies are effectively disseminated and followed.

Sustainability Representatives

The LSHTM Sustainability Reps are volunteers from across different faculties and departments who voluntarily dedicate some of their time to finding innovative solutions for sustainability challenges. They regularly share best practices from their teams with the sustainability team and serve as points of contact for environmental sustainability within their teams and departments. Sustainability Reps co-lead on areas of interest, including biodiversity, sustainable food, and sustainable travel.

Sustainable Air Travel Community of Practice

This group consists of staff and students and meets monthly to exchange ideas and best practices of how to implement global health research projects whilst aiming to reduce carbon emissions generated by air travel.
