Our Welcome Fair is the equivalent of a "freshers' fair", where you can find out more about the student services available to you and opportunities to get involved at LSHTM. Virtual Zoom stands will be open throughout the sessions so you can drop in and out of calls at your own pace, visit as many of the stands as you like and ask your questions.
There will be two sessions taking place, on Thursday 17th October 2024, 11:30-12:30 and 16:00-17:00 UK time (BST). Many of the stalls will be present at both sessions but some may only attend once. Read through the descriptions below to find out who you can meet at each stall.

Centres exist to facilitate multi-disciplinary interactions that draw on expertise from across LSHTM. The 13 Centres support the our mission and strategy through collaborative approaches, innovative thinking and by providing an intellectual environment that encourages innovation in methodology, tools, technology, policy and practice to help meet global health challenges. They are wider in scope than research programmes and draw together expertise in strategically important areas.

- LSHTM Careers Service
The Careers Service provides advice and guidance on career options, job hunting and applications and runs an extensive programme of workshops and events as well as a range of online resources and recordings.
- Student & Digital Content Ambassadors
You鈥檝e met them through emails and online chats, now come and chat to the LSHTM Study Team directly! If you are passionate about LSHTM and want to share your experiences and encourage future students to join us, you can also ask them about becoming a Student or Digital Content Ambassador. This fun and rewarding role includes connecting with prospective students; helping out at our open days; and contributing to our social media activities.
- Students' Representative Council (SRC)
The Students' Representative Council (SRC) is an independent, student-led body that represents the interests of master's and research degree students. Its Executive consists of officers elected by fellow students, who represent student body interests to LSHTM鈥檚 management, as well as co-ordinating student clubs, societies and social activities. Nominations and voting take place early in the academic year.
- Library, Archive & Open Research Services
Library, Archive & Open Research Services provide access to a huge range of books, journals, electronic resources and training for your studies with us at LSHTM. We can help you to track down items from your reading lists and equip you with the necessary information skills to support more complex searches. We are responsible for LSHTM's commitment to Open Access and Research Data Management too and have an extensive archive. Come and say hi to us to find out more!
- Alumni Team
Meet the LSHTM Alumni team and discover how you can network and connect with our global community of over 31,000 alumni. Explore LSHTM Connect, our dedicated networking platform, along with mentoring opportunities, virtual networking events, and Chapter events where you can engage with alumni groups around the world and expand your professional network.
- Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI)
Come to the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) stall to meet the EDI team as well as student and staff networks you can get involved in. You'll have a chance to hear more about the LGBTQ+ Network, the Disability Network and the Parents & Carers Network.
- Sexually Transmitted Infection Research Interest Group (STIRIG)
If you have an interest in STI and HIV research, come and talk to us! STIRIG aims to:
- raise awareness of STI and HIV related research being conducted at LSHTM
- increase cross-disciplinary and cross-Faculty work on STIs including HIV
- develop internal and external collaborations
- maximise funding opportunities

is a helpline run by students, for students. We're open to call or instant message every night of term from 6pm-8am for confidential, non-advisory conversations about anything that's on your mind, from academic stress, to mental health, to interpersonal relationships.
