Charity halls of residence tend to be cheaper, but tend to get booked up far more quickly as a result.  They generally offer fairly basic accommodation – clean but not in any way luxurious.  Some of the halls listed below have a religious affiliation, but welcome students of all faiths (as well as those with no faith) and cultures.  We have not visited these places and do not keep a check on whether they still have availability.
: female-only hall located in Islington, ages 18 - 25 only.  Not very near any tube station but centrally located – on a direct bus route, allow 40 minutes for the entire journey.
: located in Muswell Hill, in North London (allow 45 minutes for transport).  Maximum age is 25 but exceptions can be made for postgraduate students
: 15 minutes' walk from LSHTM. Goodenough College is an award-winning postgraduate residence in the heart of London and offers accommodation for single students, couples and families.
: offers very reasonably priced accommodation within 10-15 minutes walk of LSHTM.
: a popular choice with students, located about 15 minutes walk from LSHTM. ISH organise lots of cultural and social events with an international flavour.
: located in Kensington, central London. About 30 minutes by public transport.
: post-graduate accommodation for students with families (couples with or without children). Located quite far out in zone 4, but on a direct tube line to the School. Allow 45 – 60 minutes.
: male-only hall in North London. On a direct tube route into LSHTM, allow 40 minutes max for whole journey.
: Catholic residency on Gower Street, very near LSHTM, for full-time Catholic students aged up to 28 years of age. 
: The accommodation is available to international, full time students aged 18-30, who are from a Commonwealth (or former) country.
: provides accommodation for international students including students with children (up to 2).  Various locations, all of which are reasonably easy to reach from LSHTM.
