Quantifying impact

Randomised Controlled Trials are considered to be the accepted gold standard for clinical trials, however, for many health promotion and public health interventions randomized controlled trials may not be possible due to feasibility or ethical constraints.

The ‘Quantifying Impact’ Theme at the Centre for Evaluation brings together researchers from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine who specialize in the design, conduct, analysis, and reporting of evaluations that assess and quantify the impact of complex public health interventions, policies or health system changes.

The clinical Trials Unit (CTU) is a distinguished centre at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine that specializes in the design, conduct, analysis and reporting of clinical trials.
