The seminar primarily focused on identifying avenues for the Centre to support evaluation research initiatives at THRU ZIM. Dr Constance Mackworth-Young, the Process Evaluation theme lead and Aoife Doyle, the Qualifying Impact theme lead,  who are both longstanding collaborators with THRU ZIM, shared their valuable experiences and emphasized the significance of broader engagement from THRU ZIM staff and students.

Receiving a warm reception from THRU ZIM attendees, the Centre鈥檚 open membership policy, welcoming external participation beyond LSHTM was met with enthusiasm. Attendees expressed admiration for the diverse expertise within the Centre and its efforts aimed at enhancing the quality of evaluation research. Many participants expressed interest in seeking advice through the drop-in sessions and utilizing the newsletter as a platform to disseminate their evaluation research findings.

Moreover, THRU ZIM-based MSc and PhD students expressed plans to establish connections with the Centre鈥檚 Student Liaison Officers, demonstrating a keen interest in collaborative opportunities. Additionally, there was widespread enthusiasm for featuring THRU ZIM research case studies in the upcoming Centre for Evaluation brochure, highlighting the potential for mutual learning and exchange of best practices.

The seminar concluded on a positive note with both parties expressing eagerness to further strengthen their collaboration and contribute to advancing evaluation research initiatives.
