​​Ubuntu Hub Shared Learning Webinar Series: Exploring seating options for children with developmental disabilities in low resource settings​

Fifth webinar in the series to engage those working in early child disability. This webinar will explore seating options for children with developmental disabilities through panel discussion of options available in low-resource settings.​​

This one-hour online webinar will explore the importance of a good sitting position and different options for low-cost and locally available seats and will discuss ways to adapt and improve seats to maximise good positioning and posture. 

This event is open to everyone with interest or experience in implementing programmes for children with developmental disability and their caregivers and will share learning from the Ubuntu Hub programmes.  

The webinar will include: 

Short presentation by a physiotherapist on what makes a good sitting position followed by slides highlighting a variety of low cost seating options. The panel will then discuss the pros and cons of the different seating options and how to adapt and improve them. 

This will be followed by a Q&A.

  1. The pros and cons of different Low cost, low resource seating options  

  1. How to adapt low cost, low resource seating options to maximise good positioning
