Tavistock Place

Work has begun to transform the interior of our original Tavistock Place building into a teaching and learning centre to significantly improve facilities for students at LSHTM.

Design work has been carried out with internal representatives, architects and contractors - and in consultation with the local community.

Planning permission for this phase of our building works was granted in September 2024 and is scheduled for completion during the 2025/26 academic year.

Planning permission and community

Keppel Street

A phased programme of improvements works is under way at our Keppel Street building within a masterplan designed by Ian Ritchie Architects. The first phases involved building new laboratories and improved infrastructure inside the relatively modern North Courtyard building. The project has now moved on to investment in the original 1929 building to reconfigure and refurbish offices and social areas for long term sustainability.
