Educational/Professional Background

I received a B.S. in Cognitive Science from the University of California, Davis in 2022. After university, I worked in Silicon Valley as a user researcher & data analyst for quite some time where I became heavily interested in the statistical side of things and how you can reveal some incredible stories through effective data analysis work. 

Research interests or career goals 

As far as specific research interests, I aim to look at migration patterns and why people choose to move or relocate to where they do. I am also interested in the economic and political decision making that stems from demographic related issues. 

Why I chose LSHTM/my programme

I chose LSHTM because oddly enough, I am incredibly interested in Demography. MSc Demography & Health caught my attention for a number of reasons with the principal one being that I have always been fascinated by human populations at local, national, and global levels. The field itself is quite small and I was looking for a Master’s program where I could gain exposure to the methodologies used to understand population trends and identify what these trends may potentially mean in various settings and other academic disciplines
