I am a public health professional with a Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) from Pokhara University and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, awarded under the World Health Organization (WHO) TDR Postgraduate Scholarship in Implementation Research.
With over 8 years of experience in health service delivery and health systems strengthening, I started my career as a paramedic at a local health post and advanced through roles with organizations like RTI International, Canadian Red Cross, World Health Organization Nepal, United States Pharmacopeia, and Crown Agents. I have worked closely with Nepal鈥檚 Ministry of Health and Population, contributing to key initiatives aimed at improving healthcare access and quality across the country.
Research interests or career goals
I am particularly interested in health systems, with a focus on policy, governance, and Human Resources for Health. I am keen to explore the application of implementation research in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) like Nepal to develop evidence-based health policies and improve governance. I aim to utilize my knowledge and skills to contribute to health system strengthening efforts in LMICs, enhancing the effectiveness, efficiency, and equity of healthcare delivery for better health outcomes.
