Contact Sadid HoqueEducational/professional background
My name is Sadid, and I am an intercalating medical student (taking a year out of medical school) on the MSc Immunology of Infectious Disease. I am originally from Bangladesh but grew up in the UK, and I am based in London.
Research interests or career goals
I became passionate about immunology during my preclinical years in medical school. After my MSc I will return to medical school, with the eventual goal of doing a PhD during my postgraduate medical training. I aspire to become a clinician scientist, so that I can get the best of both worlds if research and patient interaction.鈥
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
I chose LSHTM due to its fantastic course structure, especially the choice of elective modules. I also really loved the focus on infectious disease immunology- quite different to other courses. Additionally, there is a wide range of pastoral support available, which I found very reassuring. I am also a firm believer that London is the place to be regarding infection biology and the range of people I have met has broadened my horizons.
