Educational/professional background
I am a nurse with global experience, I have worked in Portugal, UK and Saudi Arabia. I'm currently an intensive care nurse, in a hospital specialized with cardio-respiratory diseases. I have worked onboard a cruise line as a nurse, for 2 years where I first started to have a deep understanding of public and global health.
Research interests or career goals
My research interest is in environmental health issues in public health, such as air pollution, climate change, water and sanitization and how these affect the burden of disease. It's my career goal to work as a Public Health Specialist and pursue a PhD.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
I have chosen LSHTM, for the fact that the School has been considered #3 in the world for public health and had the option of focussing on Environmental and Health, which no other university offered. I believe studying Public Health in LSHTM will help me achieve my professional goals and prepare me for my future career.
