Contact Rania Al-MukhtarEducational/professional background
Hi everyone! I’m Rania Al-Mukhtar— a medical student at King’s College London, currently diving into an MSc Public Health at LSHTM. I’ve had the privilege of working on public health initiatives aimed at supporting young children, and right now, I’m busy with a community health promotion fair, which has been so exciting!
Research interests or career goals
As I make my way through the MSc and my medical degree, my interests keep expanding (maybe a little too much, haha!). At the moment, I’m fascinated by dermatology, radiology, and pediatrics, both in the clinical and public health spheres. I’m also intrigued by the role of digital technology in public health, especially its potential to reshape how we approach community health.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
Choosing LSHTM was easy—it's the place to be for public health! The diversity of the modules here means I can explore my interests and try out some new, unique areas too. And the global community at LSHTM has truly made my time here unforgettable.
Extra information
As an intercalating medical student, I’m happy to share advice on balancing this background with public health studies and making that transition from med school to the LSHTM experience. Feel free to reach out—looking forward to connecting!
