In May, I graduated from College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, USA with a degree in Health Studies.
Research interests or career goals
Following the completion of MSc Reproductive & Sexual Health Research, I plan to return to the United States to attend medical school and pursue a career as an obstetrician/gynecologist.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
I chose LSHTM because it provided me with non-clinical knowledge of my interest in reproductive and sexual health, which is rare and special! I hope that the non-clinical perspective that I gain throughout this year will enrich my patient care as an obstetrician/gynecologist in the future.
Extra information
Just go for it! I was worried about coming straight from my undergraduate degree, but I am surrounded by positive, motivated individuals from all over the world with extremely diverse backgrounds. Everyone here is inclusive and open to learning from new perspectives - that is why everyone is here, after all! You will come away from your year(s) at LSHTM having gained a wider lens with which to look at the world and an ability to critically engage with information presented to you and with your own peers. I highly recommend it!
