I am a medical doctor with a Master鈥檚 in Epidemiology and currently a PhD candidate at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). My research focuses on redefining asthma phenotypes through the integration of multi-omics, clinical data, and advanced computational approaches. I have experience in clinical practice and research on tropical diseases such as dengue and leishmaniasis, as well as expertise in bioinformatics and machine learning for epidemiological applications.
Research interests or career goals
My research focuses on asthma, exploring its heterogeneity through the integration of multi-omic, clinical, and sociodemographic data. I aim to identify biomarkers and develop predictive models to improve asthma management, particularly in underrepresented populations, using bioinformatics, machine learning, and statistical modelling.
I am also passionate about tropical and infectious diseases, such as dengue and leishmaniasis, investigating host-pathogen interactions to inform personalized medicine and global health strategies in respiratory and infectious diseases.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
I chose LSHTM because of its outstanding reputation in global health research and its diverse, vibrant academic community. My decision was driven by the opportunity to collaborate with leading experts in epidemiology, particularly in areas like tropical and chronic diseases, as well as advanced computational techniques. LSHTM鈥檚 interdisciplinary approach aligns perfectly with my career goals, providing the ideal environment to advance my research and make meaningful contributions to global health.
