Educational/professional background
My name is Carly Griffin, and I am on the MSc Public Health course (General Stream). I was born and raised in the United States, and I recently graduated from Boston College with a B.S. in Biology. I am completing my MSc before matriculating to medical school in the US next year.
Research interests or career goals
I am most interested in the field of environmental health, particularly in studying the impacts of environmental hazards on vulnerable groups such as infants and children.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
I chose the MSc Public Health course at LSHTM because I wanted to study public health at a globally-focused institution with a diverse, multinational student body. Through this course, I plan to develop the skills and tools needed to carry out epidemiological research in my future medical career.
