The University of Leicester is organising an interdisciplinary workshop on 鈥淭heory and practice in optimising antibiotic use in hospitals internationally鈥. The workshop builds on findings from a multinational qualitative study on the use of broad spectrum antibiotics for acute medical patients in hospitals in the UK, South Africa and Sri Lanka, and discusses antibiotic stewardship in the context of social dilemma theory. Clare Chandler, co-Director of the AMR Centre at LSHTM, is one of the keynote speakers.
