About the Women in Health Lecture Series:

Inspired by our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine has run a prestigious lecture series to highlight the work of women in health, research and policy worldwide. These lectures are held annually in March, to coincide with International Women’s Day, and are given by women, who have made a significant contribution to global health research and policy during their careers.

Lectures focus on the speaker’s career: how being a woman has influenced decisions and direction, and the obstacles that have been encountered and overcome. It is an opportunity for speakers to interact with the audience and share lessons to inspire and motivate other people’s career choices and pathway in research and policy.
