Varicella and zoster in Hong Kong – what needs to be done despite of universal childhood vaccination?
In Hong Kong, universal varicella vaccination for children started in 2014. Prior to that it was available in the private market and a substantial proportion of children had been receiving it on their own cost. In this seminar I will present our observation on the changes in epidemiology of varicella and zoster during the period before universal vaccination and our plan to explore the optimum vaccination strategies for varicella and zoster.
