Centre for Global Chronic Conditions presents:
BMJ Lunchtime Seminar – Practical Approach to Care Kit (PACK) programme
Join us to hear about BMJ’s activities in Global Health with a focus on our Practical Approach to Care Kit (PACK) programme.
Delivered in partnership with the Knowledge Translation Unit at the University of Cape Town, PACK is a programme that aims to equip and empower primary healthcare workers to manage all common adult symptoms and conditions, whether communicable or non-communicable, acute or chronic, and including women’s health, child health and mental health, at primary care level.
The PACK programme is now used across more than 2000 clinics by more than 20,000 clinical staff in South Africa to support remote healthcare workers and is being localised for use in low and middle-income countries around the world, including Botswana, Malawi, Brazil, Nigeria and Ethiopia.
