In this lecture, Associate Professor Alex Mold will explore the history of colonialism and how it relates to health.
Global health today retains many legacies from its colonial past. Vastly different health outcomes in the Global North and South, unequal partnerships, and the exploitation of minoritized populations can all be related to colonialism. In this lecture, the speaker will explore the history of colonialism and how it relates to health. They will also consider the role of the LSHTM in this story, both in the past, and in the present, as the School grapples with its colonial roots.
