Clare is the Course Director of the LSHTM Professional Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (DTM&H). During her training, she gained clinical experience in India, Myanmar, Sierra Leone, Malawi and Peru, before qualifying as a consultant physician in Tropical Medicine/Infectious Diseases and General Medicine. She works as a Consultant in Infection at the Imported Fever Service, part of the UKHSA Rare and Imported Pathogens Laboratory, Porton Down, and is a Honorary Consultant at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, University College London Hospitals. She became the National training lead in tropical medicine in 2023.
