I have a strong interest in implementation research and the delivery of public health interventions. I have a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, where I specialised in infectious diseases, and a Master's degree in Medical Parasitology from LSHTM. My MSc thesis, in collaboration with the Kintampo Health Research Centre, investigated the implementation of the RTS,S malaria vaccine in Ghana as part of the WHO-led pilot programme.

Prior to joining LSHTM, I worked in the research team at the Malaria Consortium, supporting the design and implementation of three seasonal malaria chemoprevention pilot studies in West Africa with a strong qualitative focus.

I am a tutor for the Public Health for Development and Control of Infectious Diseases MSc courses and I teach on the Designing Disease Control Programmes and Applying Public Health Principles in developing countries modules. I also supervise MSc summer projects.

Research
My current research focus at LSHTM is on the acceptability of malaria vaccines and the implementation of seasonal malaria vaccination. I work on a qualitative study assessing the acceptability and feasibility of the implementation of seasonal RTS,S malaria vaccination alongside seasonal malaria chemoprevention (SMC) in the routine health systems in Mali and Burkina Faso. Additionally, I am part of the seasonal RTS,S plus SMC trial team, working to support the trial in many areas. This has included completing quantitative analyses examining the relationship between malaria and malnutrition in the trial children.

I also work on a social science sub-study within the R21 vaccine phase III trial in Mali, investigating the acceptability of the R21 vaccine and trial, as well as using qualitative data to strengthen the community engagement component of the trial.
