I am a nutritionist (RNutr鈥擯ublic Health) working on designing and evaluating community-based, participatory nutrition interventions in rural India. I incorporate intersectionality theory into my research to help better understand and address inequities in nutrition outcomes and interventions.
I am currently working on the INFUSION project, which aims to provide policymakers with evidence on how rural markets can be strengthened to improve the consumption of nutrient-dense food among rural communities in Bihar in socially equitable and climate-friendly ways.
I previously worked on the UPAVAN trial, a four-arm cluster RCT testing the effects of three variants of nutrient-sensitive agriculture interventions aimed at improving maternal and child nutrition in Odisha, India. I led its follow-up study (m-UPAVAN), which assessed a mobile-adapted approach's feasibility, acceptability, and equity.
