I obtained my MSc in Medical Statistics from LSHTM in 2016 and am presently completing a Staff PhD in Social Epidemiology. I have previously held research posts at McGill University and at the Centre for Evidence Based Medicine at Oxford University.

Teaching
I am a module organiser for for the Social Epidemiology course, where I deliver sessions on measurement, multivariate methods, and causality. I also lecture on causality on the DL Advanced Statistical Methods in Epidemiology module and lead practical sessions for Statistics for EPH, with a particular interest in the R programming language. My pedagogical interests include how to better bring critical and reflexive practices into the global health classroom and how we understand the intersections between critical theory and epidemiology.
Research
My primary research interest is in the intersection of causal inference and social epidemiology. My applied work has specifically focussed on measuring the impact of complex social exposures on a number of public health areas including HIV, tuberculosis, and violence. The role of social protection in TB control is a particular area of applied interest, and working closely with Dr Delia Boccia, I have collaborated on this topic with a number of partners from international organisations such as the WHO, WFP, and UNICEF.
At the School, I presently work as a social epidemiologist with Dr Amiya Bhatia and Prof Karen Devries in the Child Protection Research Group, primarily on measurement of violence and causes and consequences of early life violence in the CoVAC cohort study.
