I completed a BA Mathematics at Trinity college, Dublin before completing a Masters in Medical Statistics at LSHTM. I completed my PhD in 2022 which focused on the handling of missing data when internally validating a prediction model.
I am a Research Fellow in Health Data Science/Medical Statistics in the department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology & International Health (IDEIH) at LSHTM.
I previously worked as a Research Fellow in the Health Services Research department at LSHTM. My projects looked at the effectiveness of a treatment using observational data and trial emulation. My interests include causal inference, prediction modelling and missing data.

Teaching
I am a seminar leader for
- Basic Statistics on MSc Public Health
- Health Data Management on MSc Health Data Science
I act as a tutor to MSc students and supervise summer projects. I am a co-supervisor to one PhD student.
I have previously been involved with the Distance Learning Statistics in Epidemiology module.

Research
I am currently involved with the ESORT project which evaluates the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of urgent versus elective surgery. I work on the PERMIT study which looks at the effectiveness of second-line treatment on outcomes for Type 2 diabetes mellitus patients.
My PhD focused on the handling of missing data in the covariates of prediction models when using internal validation. Previous research involved the handling of unobserved covariates in a Bayesian update of a Cost-effectiveness model during an NIHR internship at Leeds CTU.
