I joined LSHTM in 2020 as a Research Degree Student. Prior to this I worked for Public Health England for six years, primarily in field epidemiology (investigating outbreaks and surveillance of infectious diseases). I've completed the MSc in Epidemiology at LSHTM and the UK Field Epidemiology Training Programme (FETP). I continue to be a reserve field epidemiologist for the UK Public Health Rapid Support Team, with whom I've previously worked with in Sierra Leone and Nigeria.

Research
My PhD is funded by the National Institute for Health Research Health Protection Unit (NIHR HPRU) in Modelling and Economics. My project involves using a Bayesian framework to investigate whether transmission dynamics of gastrointestinal viruses drive trends in hospitalisations due to acute kidney injury. I'm also aiming to model the impact of vaccine candidates for gastrointestinal viruses, including the possible impact on acute kidney injury hospitalisations.
