London Landmarks Half Marathon 2021

Staff from the Alumni Office were stationed at the cheer stand, ready to cheer on our runners!

On Sunday 1 August, 11,000 runners crossed the start line of the London Landmarks Half Marathon (LLHM) to raise money for a variety of charities. This included ten alumni, staff and students from LSHTM who raised an incredible £5000 for LSHTM’s COVID-19 Response Fund. We would like to thank our volunteers for their time, passion and amazing fundraising.

Our COVID-19 Response Fund is helping save lives around the world. It is providing vital equipment to Entebbe Hospital in Uganda, supporting early career researchers and training the next generation of global health leaders.

The LLHM is a closed road, central London run and is the only half marathon to go through the City of London and City of Westminster. The race starts by The Strand, finishes by Downing Street and has fabulous views of London’s most iconic landmarks, including Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, Nelson’s Column, the Gherkin, the Shard, the Tower of London and the London Eye. We have applied for places for 2022 which has the provisional date of Sunday 3 April.
